Special Issues of WM JOURNAL

A set of Special Issues of Waste Management Journal will be compiled, based on a selected number of top research papers from the Venice 2016 Symposium on Energy from Biomass and Waste.

The following topics will be dealt with:


1. Thermal treatment of waste (incineration, pyrolysis. gasification)

2. Biological Waste to Energy (anaerobic digestion, microbial fuel cell, biofuel)

3. Refuse/Solid Recovered Fuel


Waste Management is an international journal devoted to the presentation and discussion of information on the generation, prevention,characterization, monitoring, treatment, handling, reuse and ultimateresidual disposition of solid wastes, both in industrialized and in economically developing countries. The journal addresses various types of solid wastes including municipal (e.g., residential, institutional, commercial, light industrial), agricultural, and special (e.g., C and D, health care, household hazardous wastes, sewage sludge). 
Waste Management is designed for scientists, engineers, and managers, regardless of their discipline, who are involved in scientific, technical and other issues related to solid waste management.

All contributions included in the conference programme dealing with the topics above were duly considered.

Authors of selected papers have been notified today and invited to submit their manuscript to the journal by February 20th, 2017. All submitted papers will be rigorously peer-reviewed before publication.
