We are excited to announce that the Venice Symposium will be hosting SUM 2020 - Fifth Symposium on Urban Mining and Circular Economy.
SUM 2020, originally planned for 18-20 May in Bologna, Italy, has recently been rescheduled due to the COVID-19 public health emergency and is now taking place in Venice from 18th to 20th November 2020, running alongside our conference.
SUM is an IWWG biennial event covering fundamental topics such as waste avoidance, sources and characterization of resources in urban areas, technologies for the extraction of materials, techniques of waste segregation, separate collection, takeback programs, recirculation pathways and markets, carbon and water footprint of material recycling, and more. SUM counts on the valuable support of more than 60 committee members, including leading international scientists from prestigious universities, industry representatives and members of public bodies.
We are incredibly happy to host this great conference and we do believe that the combination of the two events will provide a number of benefits to our delegates. To name a few:
The combination of the Venice Symposium with SUM 2020 and the recent indexing of our partner journal Detritus in Scopus will surely add massive value to our conference.
Moreover, these novelties will allow us to introduce additional topics, that will be announced in detail soon, and welcome additional submissions. Further partnerships with international peer reviewed journals are currently under discussion and will be announced soon, too.
Delegates interested in attending both events may take advantage of the special cumulative fees, as detailed below.
