All authors presenting their work in an oral session are required to prepare a PowerPoint presentation of their paper to last approximately 15 minutes. Powerpoint presentations should reach the Symposium Organising Secretariat no later than 5th October 2018.
During the presentation company advertising should be avoided. Presence of authors’ affiliations or company logos should be very discreet.
On site, speakers should contact the chairman 15 minutes before the beginning of the session in which their paper is to be presented. The chairman will be available in the conference hall where the session is to take place. Speakers should be present at the conference table from the beginning of the session and remain for the entire duration. If your allotted time runs out during your presentation, do not under any circumstances hurry to finish the entire presentation but go straight to the conclusions. To this regard, it may be of use to prepare a slide illustrating the conclusions in a synthesized version.
A duty member in the Speakers’ Room will be on hand for all requirements. A PC will be available for speakers use and priority will be given in line with session timetable. The computer in the speakers’ room may not be used to prepare the presentation, but only to make last-minute changes or a final check.
The Organizing Secretariat of the Venice 2018 Symposium is prepared to print, at no extra cost to the authors, the hard copy of all posters listed in the conference programme. This facility is offered to facilitate authors during their journey to reach the Symposium and, at the same time, to allow the Organizers to complete set up of the poster hall before the conference begins.
To this regard, we kindly ask authors to send their poster (as pdf file) to email@example.com no later than Monday, September 24th 2018. Posters must be A0 (841x1189 mm) vertical format and written using large letters as they should be legible from a distance of at least one meter. Under no circumstances may posters contain any kind of advertising or commercial propaganda.
Supplementary materials (such as short videos, ppt files or pdf files) intended to accompany poster presentation may also be submitted by the same deadline: materials received will be made available to all conference delegates by means of a user-friendly augmented reality app.
