Casanova Venetian Gala

📅 Wednesday, 25 Novembre 2026
🕗 Starting from 20:00 to midnight
📍 Salone del Ridotto, Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal

Join us for an unforgettable evening in the heart of Venice as we celebrate the closing night of the Symposium with a special Gala Dinner, an immersive journey into the city’s legendary gambling tradition.

The event will take place at Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal, in the historic Salone del Ridotto, whose story is deeply connected with the origins of public gaming in Venice. In 1638, the palace became the famous "Ridotto", the world’s first public and legal casino, where Venetians and visitors gathered for gambling, parties, entertainment and social life. It soon became one of the most celebrated meeting places in the city, attracting travellers from across Europe with its cosmopolitan atmosphere, lavish festivities and the legendary pleasures of Carnival. The Ridotto remained open for more than a century, until it was definitively closed by the Council of Ten in 1774.
Today, the historic halls of the Ridotto once again welcome international events, allowing this extraordinary setting to relive something of the splendour of its past.

The highlight of the evening will be the historic Casino Casanova experience, featuring scenic reconstructions of the most famous gambling games played in the time of the legendary Giacomo Casanova, the 18th-century Venetian adventurer, writer and celebrated libertine, who was also a passionate gambler and a frequent visitor to the Ridotto.
The hand-painted games have been recreated from illustrations preserved in Venetian historical archives.
Led by the Master of the House and Croupiers dressed in period costumes, this one-of-a-kind experience will invite guests to step back in time and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of intrigue, excitement and revelry that made Venice one of Europe’s most coveted destinations.
Special gaming coins will be provided to participants, giving everyone the opportunity to play together, try their luck and enjoy the thrill of the game. At the end of the experience, every player will receive a special souvenir as a memento of this unforgettable Venetian night.

The evening will culminate with music and dancing, combining the timeless charm of Venice with the festive spirit of the Symposium’s final night.
