Instructions for preparing the full paper for publication in the Symposium Proceedings
To be included in the Symposium Proceedings, all speakers (including those scheduled for poster presentations) are kindly required to submit the following materials by 20 September 2026:
A paper, typed and edited strictly in accordance with our Paper Template
A short biography + photo of the Speaker (max. 1000 characters, NO full CV)
A signed copy of the copyright assignment form
These documents should be submitted using the paper submission form →
Papers must be provided in Word format, not PDF, as they must undergo a process of editing before publication.
Paper files should be named with the ID number (provided in the acceptance notification) and surname of the Speaker (e.g., 2367_Rossi.docx).
Figures must be inserted as "In Line with Text". Please do not use any text wrapping options, in order to prevent any unwanted shifts during the editing process.
There is no maximum length imposed on papers. Should you not be able to provide a full paper, it is also possibile to submit short papers or extended abstracts (at least 2-4 pages).
Please avoid double submission. If you need to update your paper, please send the revised file by email to the Organising Secretariat at info@venicesymposium.it
The Organising Secretariat will confirm receipt of all papers. Authors not receiving an email notifying receipt of their paper should check with the Secretariat to ensure their paper has been effectively received.
Final papers must reflect the contents of the abstract originally submitted. Proper English must be used. If necessary, the paper should be checked by a native English speaker with expertise in the field. Papers not complying with the conditions above will be removed from the Symposium programme.
All papers will be published on a digital set of Symposium Proceedings (edited by CISA Publisher, with ISBN classification), which will be made available only to registered participants in the conference.
Additionally, a selection of papers will be invited for possible publication in special thematic issues of our partner journal, Detritus, the IWWG and IRACE journal indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
